ALWAYS sanitary napkin holders
Being on the go, I have to have some items in my bag at all times. This includes a hand sanitizer, my makeup bag, tissues, pen etc (I am pretty sure this warrants a separate post on "my bag staples"). One of these items includes sanitary napkins. I usually keep it in my bag's pocket but I'd want to not be conscious about keeping it in my bag.
Always solved this problem by giving Pad Holders on purchase of Always Diamond. The holder comes in different designs and I fell in love with mine (pic attached below).

Cold Stone creamery launched in Lahore
I am the girl who will not let you have her last morsel even if she shares her food with you because I save the best for last. My normal day includes me yearning for something sweet and if I can't think of anything then I'd settle for Hot Chocolate sundae or a warm chocolate chip cookie, both of which I love to bits.

HighStreet- Arm Candies to sport this summer
Whether you are a minimalist or not, a girl NEEDS the perfect hand accessories to glam herself up.
I came across HighStreet recently and on going through their website, I don't see what is new in this online store. It is the same basic designs that Chinese website provide us at cheap rates and deliver easily to our place. However, they do have cash on Delivery for Pakistan and UAE.
You may visit their website here;

Don't want to wash your jeans every so often? Levi's CEO, Chip Bergh, is your savior who is telling us not to wash our jeans.

A morning by the sea...
Out of the things we Karachittes take for granted, the sea is probably one. While I am not someone who enjoys water, there is something about sunrise and sunset by the sea that is ethereal.

Google Business Group and P@sha's "Women on Web"- Introductory Session at IoBM
Google Business Group and P@SHA have joined hands to start a collaborative initiative called "Women on Web" (WoW) in Pakistan. To promote this program they have been visiting universities etc and have been creating awareness among women. Their focus seems more on female youth as they are more open to learning technology as opposed to women who have aged.
This introduction was given to us at the Entrepreneurship and Management Excelence Centre (EMEC), IoBM on March 13, 2014 by Jehan Ara of P@SHA accompanied by Google Business Group representatives.

GenNext breakfast with CEO of Unilever Ehsan Malik
I was psyched when I got to know I'd be the event coordinator for GeneXt Breakfast with CEO of Unilever- Ehsan Malik. There were 20 seats on the breakfast table that were sold on first-come-first-served basis. The event was held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Being the organiser I got there early and was surprised when with the exception of 2-3 people all were present at the venue- Unilever Head office- by 8 am. Breakfast including sandwiches, tarts, fruit salad, orange juice, coffee and tea was served before the session started.

The Fault in Our Stars inspired Nails
Midnight Madness: I couldn't sleep last night and had just finished a book, so I resorted to painting nails-which, pertaining to my recent obsession, somehow became nail art for The Fault in Our Stars. This is very much copied from three different nail art pictures inspired by The Fault in Our Stars.
The nail colors I used are Color Studio Sky Blue, Sleek Makeup's black and Sally Hansen's white.

The Fault in Our Stars movie trailer
I read the book 'The Fault in our Stars' on recommendation of a friend (Thank you soooo much Hira!), regardless to say once I started reading I couldn't put it down. Even though they were cancer patients and from the looks of it the book wasn't going to have a fairy tale ending where both would be cured and would live happily ever after- yet the book held me captive because the play of dialogues, the wit and the tragedy was consuming.

Bichhauna Exhibition
Bichhuanã is a collaborative non-profit effort undertaking to help women of the rural Sindh, to a sustainable entrepreneurial pursuit. It started as an effort to help the families from Sindh that were affected by the flood in 2010. Women housed at refugee camps were encourages to utilise their time in making Rallis-traditional patchwork quilts and were compensated for their investment of time. As they returned 'home' to nothing from the camps, they were given a platform to work for and an opportunity to earn a living and build their lives all over again.

Resolutions for 2014
It is that time of the year when I most often for naught scribble resolutions for the year, yet over the years I have kept the tradition alive. I always limit my resolutions to ten but they have mostly been too general. My resolutions are my dreams and accomplishing them makes me feel like my dreams came true; in 2013 I managed to accomplish 5 out of 10 (a feat considering my past record). Hence to make it work this time, my first resolution is what will ensure that I achieve my goals. So let's cut to the chase and start with my resolutions for 2014!

1. Baby Steps:
In order to ensure that this time my resolutions work, I will start by making short term goals (monthly resolutions with weekly objectives) so that I am able to work on my resolutions instead of coming back to them after a year only to realise 'Ooops! Didn't work hard enough.'
